Description

Vladimir Horowitz returned to his old home in 1986, after more than 60 years. The Wall between East and West still stood, and the division seemed insurmountable: the Cold War was still raging. For years, Horowitz had performed almost no concerts, suffering from artistic crises and depression. His appearance in Moscow was nothing short of sensational. Although the Soviet authorities only advertised the concert with a small poster, crowds of people flocked to the concert hall: it was to be a truly unforgettable musical event. The legendary concert is now available on Blu-ray for the first time. The disc also includes additional documentary material.
