Description
On CD, it is one of the most frequently recorded operas: Donizetti's "La Favorite". Nevertheless, the opera, which Richard Wagner was so enthusiastic about that he personally created a piano score of it, has never made it onto DVD or Blu-ray Disc until now. The British label Opus Arte is rectifying this omission and offers an excellent first recording with this production from the Theatre du Capitole de Toulouse.
