Description

The program brings together works by Johann Sebastian Bach arranged by Ferruccio Busoni, as well as works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin, Franz Liszt, and George Gershwin. Spanning from Beethoven’s Sonata Op. 101 to Liszt’s virtuoso “Réminiscences de Don Juan,” the album explores a wide range of Cherkassky’s repertoire and showcases the stylistic diversity of one of the 20th century’s greatest pianists.
