Description

Dimitri Ashkenazy is – as you know by now – the son of the world-famous pianist and conductor Vladimir Ashkenazy. Dimitri Ashkenazy's new album, titled "Night Thoughts", is now being released by Orlando Records. The clarinetist has expertly selected highly interesting "musical nocturnes" by composers such as Sigfrid Karg-Elert, Sir Richard Rodney Bennett, Miklós Rózsa and many others. A programme that makes one marvel at how many composers have written solo music for the clarinet and how each has mastered this challenge. The interpretation is – it need hardly be mentioned – first-class!
