Following her acclaimed debut “Diaries,” pianist Tiffany Poon returns with “Nature,” an album that explores the evocative power of French music and captures the beauty of the natural world—from the delicate shimmer of water to the quiet secrets of the forest and the animals that live there. Recorded with producer Damien Quintard at the legendary Miraval Studios in Provence (home to Pink Floyd, Sade, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds), “Nature” brings together works by French composers from several centuries, united by an instinctive wonder at the world around them. Guided by intuition and a deep personal connection, Poon’s curated selection—which includes works by Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, Jean-Philippe Rameau, and Louis-Claude Daquin—moves beyond the structured rigor of the German-speaking musical tradition and into the fluid, sensual soundscapes of the French repertoire. Inspired by Rameau’s belief that music is rooted in nature itself, she has curated a program that reflects her love of animals, forests, and water, translating it into vivid musical expression. “Nature” is a testament to music’s ability to reflect the natural world and invites listeners to experience its beauty with instinct and devotion.
