Joy to the World

Delos is delighted to announce its collaboration with the GRAMMY®-winning vocal ensemble Chanticleer. On its debut album, the ensemble presents the qualities for which it already enjoys an excellent reputation with “precise intonation, perfect blending of sound, a rich palette of colors, and stylistic authority” (Boston Globe). The Christmas program combines tradition with innovation: Renaissance motets and new arrangements of classic Christmas carols meet contemporary compositions—including two works by composer Joanna Marsh commissioned especially for this occasion. With its extraordinary ability to move effortlessly and confidently between styles, Chanticleer creates a winter world full of magic, light, and wonder in its first release on Delos.
