Homage to Jodie Devos

Jodie Devos leaves a painful void. She passed away on June 16, 2024, at the age of only 35. To keep her memory and her art alive, the label has decided to release this box set, which includes all the recordings she made for Alpha Classics over the course of ten years: six albums that bear witness to the high artistic quality, sensitivity, versatility, and curiosity of this extraordinary soprano, who was loved by all. Also included is a concert she gave at the Gaume Festival in August 2017 – a deeply moving program that reveals another facet of Jodie, in particular her love of American music and song, from Gershwin to Michel Legrand. All proceeds from the sale of this box set, which contains all the texts from the original albums, will be donated to the Jodie Devos Fund, which was founded in 2025 to provide lasting support for the transmission and promotion of the art of opera, which was so close to her heart.
