Haydn 2032, Vol. 13: Horn Signal

Haydn’s Symphony No. 31, written in 1765 and known as the “Horn Signal Symphony,” gives its name to this 13th volume in the Haydn2032 series. Not only does the symphony feature four horns in all their sonic splendor, but the entire ensemble, Il Giardino Armonico, under the inspired direction of Giovanni Antonini, performs this music with characteristic verve. Like every vinyl release in the Haydn2032 series, this edition includes a numbered LP, a musicological introduction, a CD featuring the same program, and a download code. This volume also contains a catalog of all recordings released to date and offers another chance to admire the photographs by Magnum photographers, who have been partners in this series from the outset.
