Dvořák & Elgar: Cello Concertos

Harriet Krijgh is one of the most exciting cellists of our time. Her lyrical and expressive playing captivates and inspires audiences and critics alike. Her extensive discography includes works by Kabalevski, Haydn, Brahms and Rachmaninov, as well as an album of works by French composers. Harriet Krijgh has won numerous first prizes at international competitions. She was named a “Rising Star” by the European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO) and took over the artistic directorship of the International Chamber Music Festival in Utrecht from Janine Jansen in 2017 and 2018. With the present album, she ventures for the first time into the pantheon of the most famous cello concertos: By recording the masterpieces of Dvořák and Elgar, she also fulfills a long-cherished wish.
