Description
Two renowned composers, Arvo Pärt and Peteris Vasks, appear in this collection with works from the Baltic States. Alongside them, the collection primarily introduces younger composers. Given their diverse individual styles, any attempt to identify a common characteristic among the composers of the Baltic States seems destined to fail. And yet, many share a sustained basic tone. Some are also united by a minimalist style.
