Description

He knows the entire keyboard repertoire of Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750) by heart, explores it with joy on various instruments, has exchanged ideas with harpsichordists, and has also drawn inspiration from the cantatas. In this way, Cédric Pescia has developed a very unique, highly personal approach to Bach's music. Under his hands, it never sounds strict or ascetic, but always brings out the composer's human warmth. And with the six French Suites, the pianist leads us directly into the deepest layers of his soul.
