We are Musical

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, cultural institutions across the country were forced to close. Artists whose passion is entertaining people had to come up with new ways to reach their audience. As part of the ORF-produced concert series “Wir spielen für Österreich,” the Vereinigten Bühnen Wien (VBW) therefore staged a major musical spectacle for television. This gala, now available on Blu-ray and DVD, brings together the most popular melodies from the VBW’s acclaimed in-house productions at the Ronacher Theater: highlights from “Elisabeth,” “Rebecca,” “Der Besuch der alten Dame,” “Don Camillo und Peppone,” “Der Tanz der Vampire,” and “I am from Austria.”
