Description

Henryk Szeryng is undeniably one of the greatest violinists of all time, even if his fame never reached the general public. Szeryng was a violinist for connoisseurs, and they loved and revered him passionately. This historic sound recording from the SWR archive dates back to 1969. The Südwestdeutsche Kammerorchester Pforzheim practically feeds off the great virtuoso in highly interesting and beautifully sounding interpretations of Vivaldi's Four Seasons and Mozart's Fifth Violin Concerto. The remastering from the original SWR tapes sounds fresh and vibrant.
