Tchaikovsky: Swan Lake (Royal Opera House, London 2015, Choreographer: Petipa / Ivanov)

"Swan Lake" is Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's eternal audience favorite. The name of the piece is synonymous with ballet itself. In London, the Royal Ballet has brought Tchaikovsky's classic to the stage in a stunningly opulent production that currently has no equal. The production's costumes and set are inspired by the era of the Russian Tsars. In addition to top-tier dance, many scenic and pantomime elements ensure that the plot is immediately understandable even to an audience with no prior knowledge. And when Natalia Osipova dances her "Swan," no true ballet lover can keep a dry eye.
