The Stuttgart Ballet Documentary Collection

After his time at Sadler‘s Wells Theatre in London, John Cranko came to the Stuttgart Ballet as artistic director in 1961 and, within a decade, turned a little-known ensemble into one of the most respected companies in the world. Today, the Stuttgart Ballet is mentioned in the same breath as the legendary houses in Moscow, St. Petersburg, London, Paris, and New York. This collection brings together three documentaries: "Of Miracles and Superheroes – The Stuttgart Ballet," about the rise of the troupe; "Marcia Haydée – Divine Dancer," about the ballerina who is considered Cranko’s muse; and "Friedemann Vogel – Incarnation of Dance," about the Stuttgart dancer who conquered the stages of the world.
