Description

This exceptional album presents a collection of successful popular and film hits from the 1930s, which at the time brought world fame to singers such as Joseph Schmidt, Richard Tauber, and Mischa Spoliansky. The blueprints for such German hits are also featured, including the immortal "O sole mio". Tenor Martin Mitterrutzner, with his broad repertoire, has just the right voice for these emotion-laden songs. He is spiritedly accompanied by the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie.
