Solstice

"Solstice" brings together guitarist Adam Cicchillitti and bandoneonist Denis Plante with the Orchestre classique de Montréal under the direction of Jean-Marie Zeitouni. At its core is the integration of the guitar and bandoneon as equal solo instruments within a symphonic context.

The program navigates the interplay between North and South American musical traditions, blending works from Latin America with contemporary Canadian music. New orchestrations explore the sonic possibilities of both instruments within the orchestra, highlighting their expressive diversity.

Adam Cicchillitti, internationally active as a soloist and chamber musician, is one of the most prominent representatives of his instrument and is deeply committed to contemporary music.
