Simpler Times

Listening to a Yarlung CD is something special even when you open the packaging: In a shimmering mixture of brass and bronze tones, the specially coated surface of the Yarlung disc catches the light and signals that we have the highest order of recording artistry before us. With the Sophisticated Lady Quartet, a first-class jazz quartet has now stood before the high-fidelity microphones of Yarlung boss Bob Attiyeh for the second time. Listening to them, you would think that the cool jazz of the 1960s had never stopped being cool and was still in its prime.
