Description

This album by pianist Lars Vogt, violinist Christian Tetzlaff and cellist Tanja Tetzlaff contains some of Franz Schubert's greatest chamber music works: his two numbered piano trios and the Notturno D 897, the Rondo D 885 for violin and piano and the Arpeggione Sonata. The album is an impressive testament to Lars Vogt's outstanding intensity in playing, which he developed with his long-time chamber music partners and friends Christian Tetzlaff and Tanja Tetzlaff. Vogt wrote to his trio partners about the recordings: "If I am not to be around much longer, this is a worthy farewell. You two are amazing. (...) Such expression. Such fragility, such love."
