Scattolin: 5 Spiritual Meditations

Pier Paolo Scattolin's eclectic compositional style, which developed in parallel with his intensive work as a choir director, reaches an important milestone with this discographical production. In contrast to his last album "Suoni e rime sparse", which was released in 2021 and focused on secular poetic inspiration, this album is entirely dedicated to sacred and spiritual themes. Indeed, exclusively sacred themes (both historical and original) form the backbone of these five meditations, in which a wide variety of instruments and ensembles are used, including sonic peculiarities created by harmonizing voices and Tibetan bells. The Bologna-based Euridice Choir in its various configurations is once again the protagonist of the vocal parts, flanked by the Circe Ensemble and exceptional soloists, to whom the author dedicates the world premieres both on recording and in concert.
