When Marc Soustrot's Saint-Saëns recordings were released on three albums in 2015, the specialist press showered them with praise: The Guardian wrote "The performances by Marc Soustrot and the Malmö Symphony Orchestra are powerful and thoughtful", BBC Music Magazine praised the "authentic performances that showcase Saint-Saëns' mastery of the orchestra" and Pizzicato concluded: "Marc Soustrot proves himself (...) to be a conducting powerhouse with great power and inspiration."
