Description

Vivantes brings together the Katok Ensemble under the direction of Paul Serri and the Belgian composer Patrick Leterme in a program designed for the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Charleroi. Works by Maurice Ravel and Guillaume Lekeu meet Leterme's new composition for string quintet. Together, they unfold a musical reflection on the human connection to life – nourished by the experience of nature and inspired by texts by George Sand, Romain Gary, and Vinciane Desprets. Leterme writes in a musical language that is as precise as it is sensitive, whose deliberately fragile structure turns sensitivity into a form of resistance.
