Description

The fourth album in Stéphane Denève's series featuring the music of Maurice Ravel offers two vocal music highlights that are rarely heard in such overwhelmingly excellent quality: Ravel's popular, lighthearted one-act opera L'heure espagnole meets a veritable rarity in the Ravel discography that has not been newly recorded for over 15 years, namely the song cycle Shéhérazade for voice and orchestra. Denève also conducts the renowned SWR Radio Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart in this SWRmusic production in his capacity as chief conductor. Previous installments in the series have been met with much praise from the press.
