Puccini: La Bohème (Arena di Verona Festival, 2024, Director: Signorini)

In this new production at the Arena di Verona, director Alfonso Signorini focuses on Giacomo Puccini’s “La Bohème” as an intimate relationship drama. He contrasts the monumental setting of the amphitheater with a wintry 19th-century Paris, creating an effective contrast between the grand opera stage and personal fate.

Juliana Grigoryan makes her debut at the Arena di Verona as Mimì and appears on stage alongside Vittorio Grigolo as Rodolfo. Luca Micheletti and Eleonora Bellocci complete the main cast as Marcello and Musetta. Musical direction is provided by Daniel Oren, who conducts the Arena di Verona Orchestra and Chorus.
