Piazzolla: Aconcagua / Cuatro Estaciones porteñas

Piazzolla originally wrote the four tangos of the "Cuatro Estaciones porteñas" separately for his own ensemble, consisting of violin, piano, electric guitar, double bass, and bandoneon. However, the pieces achieve their full effect as a "Concert" for chamber orchestra and bandoneon. Lithuanian accordionist Martynas Levickis has now recorded the "Four Seasons" from Buenos Aires together with Piazzolla's "real" concert for bandoneon and orchestra, "Aconcagua". On the album, the orchestral parts are performed by the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Modestas Pitrenas, or by the chamber ensemble Mikrookéstra.
