PeterLicht: Tartuffe or The Pig of the Wise

The seemingly pious and virtuous Tartuffe deeply impresses the wealthy Orgon and throws his entire family into turmoil, until his dishonest intentions can gradually be proven. The radical reimagining of the Molière classic by the successful Cologne indie-pop musician and writer PeterLicht frees the comedy from the patina of the 17th century. Director Claudia Bauer and her lively ensemble transpose it into a fast-paced comedy whose colorful pop aesthetic makes the deception shine all the brighter.
