Description
If Clara Haskil was the ideal Mozart pianist, it can be said with confidence that her contemporary Johanna Martzy represented the ideal Mozart violinist. Her exceptionally lean, dancing style was exemplary at a time when it was still quite common to present Mozart with overromanticized excess. This CD contains live recordings from 1956 and 1962 in exemplary sound restoration.
