Mozart / Schumann: Piano Concertos

Annie Fischer represents a deeply felt, romantic and intimate art as a unique phenomenon within the great Hungarian pianist tradition. She was famous and admired for her uncompromising, intellectually profound interpretations, but left behind very few studio recordings. We can therefore be grateful that these live recordings of the great artist have been preserved: in 1958 she made a guest appearance in Stuttgart and played Mozart, in 1959 she was a guest in Baden-Baden, under the direction of the legendary Hans Rosbaud, to play Robert Schumann's piano concerto – a recording of particular appeal.
