Description

This is likely the most perfect recording of Mozart’s concertos ever made on the incredibly difficult natural horn. The use of historical instruments, a movement that began in the middle of the last century, is long past being a fad or a novelty. Rather, it is a fundamental component of our musical culture, and its significance goes far beyond the simple nostalgic or poetic reproduction of a score. The "archaic" technical characteristics of historical instruments often force performers to find solutions that, while leading to a sound closer to historical reality, not infrequently surprise the listener. Technical limitations are even more palpable in wind instruments, as the significant development in their construction has further amplified the differences that emerged over the course of their evolution. Javier Bonet studied in Valencia and Essen and today enjoys international recognition as a performer on historical instruments, which is also the specialty of the ensemble he founded, Corniloquio. On this recording, he plays with the ensemble La Real Cámara and its founder and director, the violinist Emilio Moreno.
