Description
Hardly any interpreter is as closely familiar with the musical language of Olivier Messiaen as the American conductor Kent Nagano. For several decades, Nagano has featured his orchestral works and oratorios in his programs. In 1982, Nagano lived with Messiaen in Paris for a year; beyond an artistic connection, a close personal relationship also developed between the two musicians. The live recordings of "La Transfiguration de Notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ," "Chronochromie," and "Poèmes pour Mi" document outstanding artistic events from the Munich concert program of June 2017, July 2018, and February 2019.
