Description

For his solo debut, pianist Ivan Moshchuk explores the connection between Nikolai Medtner and Sergei Rachmaninov. Their distinctive piano cycles—"Forgotten Melodies" and "Études-Tableaux"—were composed on the threshold of a violent era. Based on refined sensibility, these cycles open a gateway to the concept of "forgotten melodies": the ideals of a veiled world. Here, music becomes a lens for memory as a path that endures despite the relentless passage of time.
