Description

Juliane Bansen's latest album, titled Im Arm der Liebe, is devoted to orchestral songs from the beginning of the 20th century and introduces works and composers who have very unjustly fallen into oblivion. The romantic texts are set to catchy melodies and lush orchestration; they need no comparison with the well-known orchestral songs of Mahler or Strauss. An excellent opportunity to rediscover late-Romantic orchestral songs by Hans Pfitzner, Joseph Marx, Walter Braunfels and Erich Wolfgang Korngold and experience them in exemplary interpretations by the Munich Radio Orchestra under Sebastian Weigle with one of the outstanding voices of our time.
