On her new album "blir det inte mer så är det nog" (If it doesn't get any better, then that's probably enough), jazz singer and composer Lovisa Jennervall breathes new life into the lyrics of Swedish and Finland-Swedish poets with music that moves freely between jazz, folk song, and improvisation. The lyrics revolve around nature – the nature that surrounds us, that we are a part of, and that we turn to when we seek balance in a chaotic existence. The arrangement of vocals, piano (Emil Ingmar), trombone (Lisa Bodelius), and cello (Dorotea Dragodan) creates vulnerability, and every single instrument is of great importance to the musical whole. It is a restrained yet powerful tribute to some of our most timeless voices and to the Earth, which both sustains and reflects our inner world. With her warm tone and unmistakable personal expression, Lovisa Jennervall has made a significant name for herself as a singer, composer, and arranger in the Swedish jazz scene. Both the album "What's It All About?" (2021) with the band Ellas Kapell and her solo debut album "Between You and Me" (2022) were named Vocal Jazz Album of the Year by LIRA magazine. In 2025, she received a Grammy nomination for the album "Barnjazz på svenska" with the Sture Kvintett.
