J. S. Bach: Concertos for Three and Four Harpsichords

These rarely recorded concertos for three and four harpsichords by Johann Sebastian Bach are an example of the art of composing for keyboard instruments and strings, for which the composer played a pioneering role. These emblematic works, characterized by a balance between strong themes and an exuberant inner dynamism, are interpreted by virtuoso harpsichordists from the new generation of baroque musicians: Violaine Cochard, Olivier Fortin, Pierre Gallon, Jean-Luc Ho and, for the first time, the young Croatian harpsichordist Davor Krkljus, accompanied by the strings of Le Caravansérail under the direction of Bertrand Cuiller at the harpsichord. This album also contains a previously unreleased piece, a transcription of the famous Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 for four harpsichords, arranged by Bertrand Cuiller.
