Impression Stream

Stéphane Guillaume says of his album: For some years now, I have been looking for a subtle way to combine my experiences as a jazz musician with chamber music. With Istanbul-based cellist Sedef Erçetin and her Athenian colleague, pianist Maria Papapetropoulou, I wanted to take the place of the violin in an emblematic trio. Supported by an invaluable fellow traveler – Antoine Banville, here on drums – the group finds a balance of colors and rhythms into which I weave the twists and turns of my composition, and I hope my impressionistic and intimate images bring my audience as much joy as we had in their creation.
