Description

Since August 22, 1920, the premiere of the first Salzburg Festival, Hugo von Hofmannsthal’s “Jedermann” has been a permanent fixture of the festival program. Over the years, the creme de la creme of German-language acting have performed in this “Play about the Death of the Rich Man”: Will Quadflieg, Curd Jürgens, Maximilian Schell, Klaus Maria Brandauer, and many others—all of them embodied the character of Jedermann. Between 2017 and 2020, Tobias Moretti was the first choice for the lead role. At the festival's 100th anniversary, he was supported by two actors also known for their TV work: Carolin Peters and Peter Lohmeyer.
