Hard Bop Tango

Lexingtone is a Swedish-Finnish jazz quartet consisting of some of Scandinavia's most respected and sought-after musicians: Erik Palmberg: trumpet & flugelhorn, Joona Toivanen: piano, Martin Sundström: double bass, Paul Svanberg: drums. For over a decade, the members have toured worldwide and recorded with numerous groups and artists, earning recognition for their individual and collective achievements. In Lexingtone, these four musicians merge their musical experience and creativity into a swinging unit with tight interplay. Their music consists of original compositions inspired by the New York jazz scene of the 1960s and the legendary label Blue Note Records – whose address, 767 Lexington Avenue, inspired the band's name. The band's sound can be described as groovy hard bop with strong melodies and a vibrant ensemble energy.
