Handel: Virtuoso Cantatas [Inexorable Amour]

Under the Italian sky, the young Handel transformed states of soul into music and graced Roman palaces with secular cantatas of glowing virtuosity. This theater of passions explores the thousand faces of love: from the torments of the dizzying Il delirio amoroso to the lightness of Sans y penser, through to the fetters of Un’alma innamorata and the laments of Crudel tiranno amor. Soprano Marie Lys lends her exquisite voice to the heroines of the "dear Saxon." Under the direction of Gaétan Jarry, the Orchestre de l’Opéra Royal brings this Baroque ardor back to life with the utmost elegance.
