Description

Handel's "Rinaldo" is set during the Crusades and tells a story of love, magic, power struggles, and ultimately reconciliation. Pier Luigi Pizzi's acclaimed production transports the audience into a dreamlike, surreal world full of spells and incantations. The lavish production was performed at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in September 2020, which was the first Italian theater to reopen after the lockdown in Italy. The set design and stage management were adapted to the health and safety requirements in force at the time.
