Description

When Piia Kleemola organized her final concert as part of her dissertation on “Fiddle Music in Finland,” she got the idea for this CD, which brought her work to a triumphant conclusion. The program brings together everything Piia Kleemola loves about fiddle music: polkas from Southern Ostrobothnia or Sweden, melodies from the French Massif Central, microintervals, drone playing, and classical violin music. A virtuoso, multifolk kaleidoscope of fiddle playing!
