Byrd / Bull / Gibbons: Harpsichord Works [Parthenia]

Alina Rotaru is one of the most interesting musicians in the early music scene. Her interpretations are as unconventional and nonconformist as the artist herself, who has casually posed in a motorcycle jacket with a cigarette. Her new album Parthenia musically tells the story of the marriage between Elizabeth Stuart and Frederick V, Elector Palatine, through fascinatingly beautiful harpsichord works by William Byrd, John Bull, and Orlando Gibbons, which were given to the couple for their wedding. The Sono Luminus label guarantees top-notch sound and outstanding production quality.
