Description

On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Anton Bruckner’s birth, the Vienna Philharmonic has recorded all of the composer’s symphonies for the first time. For this project, they chose Bruckner expert Christian Thielemann as conductor. This special edition is dedicated to all eleven surviving Bruckner symphonies, and therefore also includes the early symphonies in F minor ("Study Symphony") and D minor ("No. 0"). With the recordings of (perhaps) Bruckner's most popular symphonies, No. 4 in E-flat major ("Romantic") and No. 9 in D minor, this fascinating video edition on DVD and Blu-ray concludes.
