Description

Kotaro Fukuma is one of Japan's leading pianists. He was the first Japanese pianist to win the International Piano Competition in Cleveland in 2003. Fukuma has been based in Berlin for several years and regularly performs at numerous concerts in Europe and Japan. Fukuma began playing the piano at the age of five, and Beethoven has been a point of reference for him since he was 14 years old. At that age, the young Kotaro stood before Beethoven's tombstone in Vienna and felt as if Beethoven himself were speaking to him. Twenty-three years later, the circle is completed and Fukuma finally releases his first Beethoven recital.
