Description

Lucile Dollat dedicates this album to the organ music of Elsa Barraine (1910-1999), embarking on an extraordinary sonic journey full of spiritual intensity. The program opens with the impressive “Musique rituelle” from 1967, which Barraine considered one of her most important works. This is followed by the two preludes and fugues composed in her early years, and “Reflets magyars”, a composition inspired by a traditional Hungarian folk song. The final piece on the album is the contemplative and sublime-sounding “Élévation".
