Palestrina's austerity meets pure emotion: at the beginning of the 17th century, the \"stile moderno\" was gradually replacing the polyphony of the \"stile antico\", and affect and expressivity now dominated music. The expressive range that Juan González Martínez conjures up on his trombone finds a fanciful and charismatic counterpart in Lea Suter at the harpsichord and organ.
