After studying with Peter Hurford in St. Albans, he spent four years at the University of Cambridge as the organist of King's College under Sir David Willcocks. During this time, he discovered his love and appreciation for the organ works of Johann Sebastian Bach, which inspired him throughout his life. Sir Andrew prepared all the transcriptions on this album for the BBC Philharmonic, four of which were recorded in November 2023. Sadly, Sir Andrew passed away before the final recordings for the album could take place (September 2024). Fortunately, he had already completed the arrangements.
