Dvořák's last three symphonies show him at the height of his compositional powers and international fame, displaying an astonishing range of style and expression. The three concert overtures were originally conceived as a trilogy of Nature, Life and Love, but were eventually published separately. They share Dvořák's audible love of nature and his fascination with human life and passion. In performing this core Czech repertoire, the orchestra and the maestro can once again demonstrate their congenial collaboration and their complete mastery of Dvořák's rich sound world. The Czech Philharmonic is one of the largest orchestras in the world, known for its rich tradition with Czech masters and the European repertoire.
